YouTube UI Enhancements

This bookmarklet makes the following modifications to the YouTube interface:

• The percentage of Likes to total votes for a video is calculated and displayed after the likes/dislikes text.
• The number of Likes/Dislikes (and percent) are loaded for videos in the sidebar (e.g. suggestions).
• The number of Likes/Dislikes (and percent) are loaded for videos in search results.

To use, right-click on the Bookmarklet link ("YouTube UI Enhancements" above), and save as a bookmark, or drag the link to your browser's bookmarks area, if it has one. Then, when browsing YouTube, you can click on the bookmarklet to alter the page.

It has been tested in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari so far. In order to use the bookmarklet in Chrome, the Bookmarks bar must be made visible, so the bookmarklet can be dragged onto it.

Privacy Issues

A bookmarklet is a bookmark that contains code that is run when you click it. It is comparable to a browser plugin.
For the bookmarklet itself, there isn't much of a privacy policy, since virtually all the code is being run locally on your computer. The code is open source, so you can see exactly what it's doing in your browser.
The jQuery library is loaded dynamically from the jQuery CDN when you run the bookmarklet, and as such, information about you and your browser may be transmitted to a third party as a result of this bookmarklet.
YouTube, of course, has its own privacy policy. Metadata for related videos and search results are loaded dynamically from YouTube when you run this bookmarklet.
